Fundraising Bake Sale For Astell House

Our recent bake sale achieved great success, raising funds in support of Astell House’s beloved Living Eggs project. All proceeds will go towards purchasing incubators and eggs for the residents to hatch, making this heartwarming tradition possible once again. The Living Eggs project is something the residents cherish every year, as it brings joy, companionship, and a sense of connection to new life.

Over ten members of the CLC community came together to organise, bake, and sell, demonstrating incredible teamwork and dedication to a meaningful cause. A team of seven pupils spent over seven hours on sunday preparing a variety of baked goods such as cookies and brownies, ensuring that there was something that appealed everyone's preferences.

Our goal was to raise £360, which we excelled raising £440 in total with the help of our generous community. Beyond the fundraising, this experience allowed us to truly connect with residents at Astell House, bringing the two communities closer as we dedicated our time and effort to something that means so much to the residents. We also worked closely with the nursing home to support a cause that is genuinely dear to them, strengthening our relationship and understanding of their needs.
